Gittens Murray Architects were commissioned by the Mr. Liam Harvey to provide a design for the development of a 60-bed nursing home at Callan, Co. Kilkenny.

The design solution provides a 2 storey T shaped block, which efficiently limits travel distances for staff in a compact form.

The construction is primarily load bearing block work with precast concrete floors.

A generous circulation space is provided with occasional social areas placed around the building.
