Deereland Properties commissioned G.M.A to re- design an existing 1970s industrial building for conversion to a discount food store & retail warehousing units. A planning permission was achieved on this basis. Following extensive negotiations with the local authority a revised mixed use zoning was achieved for the site with a designated landmark status The final scheme involves a complete redevelopment of the site, with undercroft car parking and a mixture of retail warehousing, discount food store, medical centre, convenience retail and a substantial offices element. Key to the proposal is a feature corner landmark tower which will define the city from the new M9 motorway turn off.
